Chris has been working in construction for over 30 years and has significant experience not just in executive-level management but in practicing carpentry himself as well. He has built a wide variety of projects over his career—many of them while he was the owner of Aztec Construction, Inc.—including historic mill conversions, large production multi-family units, low-rise and mid-rise commercial buildings, and specialized commercial facilities such as cleanrooms, labs, and testing rooms. He then narrowed his focus specifically to high-end residential construction and renovation and became a Principal and Operations Manager of BayPoint Builders Corp., growing BayPoint from a start-up to one of Boston’s larger residential builders and remodelers. Chris studied at Northeastern University and the Boston Architectural College, and he is OSHA and EPA Lead Certified and has a Construction Supervisor’s License. His interest in civics and leadership led him to become a member of the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB), the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and other professional organizations, and he served on the Clinton, MA Zoning Board of Appeals for 24 years as well as on three school building committees. Chris finds the day-to-day interaction with his colleagues incredibly enjoyable, especially in the context of FBN’s supportive and collegial but challenging culture. He also enjoys sharing the wealth of experience he has accumulated over his career by mentoring many of his younger colleagues. For Chris, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client’s joy and satisfaction upon completion of a project. When he’s not satisfying clients or fulfilling any of his civic duties, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, cycling, mountain biking, running, and swimming.

laurie gorelickLaurie Gorelick is a Boston-based interior designer providing residential and commercial design services to a discerning clientele.  Laurie did not follow the traditional career path of most designers. Instead, she spent 10 years as a practicing attorney in New York City after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and New York University School of Law. Laurie’s deep-rooted passion for art and design drove her to trade her briefcase for a portfolio. She earned a degree in 2000 in interior design from the New England School of Art & Design at Boston’s Suffolk University (NESAD/SU) and established Laurie Gorelick Interiors after honing her skills as a design assistant at a Newbury Street design firm.  Laurie is also an accredited professional in Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED AP), distinguishing her in the area of eco-friendly design and knowledge of sustainable materials and finishes.  As a part-time instructor in the design programs at NESAD/SU and Newbury College, Laurie mentors designers-in-training. She also sits on the executive board of the Boston Children’s Hospital League.
