The IFDA-NE (The International Furnishings and Design Association – New England) is the only all-industry association whose members provide services and products to the furnishings and design industry. The Shade Store is a very proud international platinum sponsor for the IFDA-NE.
The Shade Store is an internationally acclaimed store that does not just decorate your windows; it breathes new life to it. As their slogan says, “It’s not just your window. It’s your point of view.” You can find your look with ease that has great poise and sophistication.
The Shade Store has 70 years of wonderful experience and their products are handmade in the United States of America. They have exclusive collections and enchanting designer partnerships that take their range and style to a whole new level.
By sponsoring the IFDA, The Shade Store has helped the entire design industry as they strive to enhance the professionalism and stature of the industry worldwide. The Shade Store is a partner in the vision of the IFDA for betterment and improvement of the industry. IFDA-NE provides opportunities to cultivate strong business relationships through professionalism, education, collaboration, and philanthropy.
They help the members to perform better and give excellent results that are beneficial to the entire design industry. It is a matter of catering to a community and looking at the bigger picture. The Shade Store along with IFDA-NE provides a beautiful opportunity to the members to work with other industry professionals at international levels. They help members get involved with chapter events and educational programs that serves a bigger purpose than just profitability. It brings the design community on one platform for overall betterment.
The sponsorship aids the idea of community betterment. IFDA New England Community Service committee members are hard at work at the Women’s Institute’s Historic Grinnell Mansion in New Bedford, where a wish list of improvements is being undertaken. The improvements include the transformation of the resident entrance, storage solutions, and the kitchen to name a few. This goes a long way for a number of houses and community spaces making a difference in many people’s lives.
One of the other focuses is on education. The goal for the IFDA Education Foundation is to get the word out to Boston-area design schools that we offer scholarships to students as well as grants to educators. Along with design advancements and helping the industry, the sponsorship helps the members to make a difference in the world by offering community service, education and a chance to improve themselves on international levels by various partnerships and events.
The vision of IFDA serves a purpose and that purpose goes a long way. The sponsorship of The Shade Store does not go unnoticed in this activity as they help the members and the community a better place.
